My experience during BM days Celebration

January 22-23, 2015 was the BM days celebration of the department of Business management. Our BM days was focus on Information system. To help us Business Management ex post in any software that we did not experience during our BASICOM subject. The BM students able to learn the two software that can help us being creating making video presentation and awesome  slide shown presentation. The name of the two software are POWTOON and PREZI. Powtoon is an online website that teach how to make nice video prsentation. Prezi can be online or offline. The first day of BM days was teach us how to use powtoon. The students of IT was train us about the powtoon and how to use it better. After train us about powtoon they give us a task to make our own video presentation using powtoon. We should do the same thing as the trainer did. When I explore the powtoon I able to do the same thing of trainer did. I appreciate much the powtoon because I able to do a video presentation nice. In powtoon a lot of theme you can choice, it can also insert an animation, character, images, songs,and everything. the disadvantage of powtoon it is an online to make video presentation. The secon day of BM days was train us about Prezi. Prezi can be online and offline. Prezi is more nice than to powtoon because it easy to use it. Prezi is nice when making power point presentation because it is easy to use and to explore. It easy to insert an animation by just click and drag it. Prezi is a big help to the Business Management students to use an software in professional way. It is not boring when presenting it to our teachers. During our BM days was a great day we able to learn about this two software that are so useful in our course. Thanks to the IT students who train us and partner us during our Business Days celebration. Hopefully next BM days there's a lot of things train us about the Information Technology/Software.

Exercise # 3

1. Analyze the current operation of the business process.

The business operations that I analyze is the company of the Shoper's Plaza here in the Zamboanga.
The business of the Shopers Plaza is focus on merchandising. For example in the super market of the Shoper's Plaza the process of the business if maintain the stocks/ inventory in the stand/ shelves. Ensure the all the employee and diser are doing their duties maintaining and stock available to the customers. If the items are sold out it should refill it immediately.

2. Formulate ideas for a redesign of the business process using the directions stated on the following:

The company of Shoper's plaza redesign the process of purchase the items that are not available in the super market. example the Sunsilk is not available in the store they should order the item that are not available in super market.

Activity A

1. List down all the information you will need to perform the job.

As a Human Resource Specialist in the company the information or duties should I need to perform on my Job as Human Resource are the following:

• Human Resource Specialist are the link employer and employee.
• Recruitment specialist or employment interviewer
• Human Resource Specialist creates a wanted ad and then interviews potential new employees.
• They ensure that the best  candidate possible is chosen for the position.
• If they find any other applicants particularly qualified, they might file their resume for later position.
• Human Resource Specialist regularly observe current employees and interview them to determine their satisfaction with their job. 
• Human resource specialists are available at any time for comments from employee, accepting feedback and applying it to create a more effective workplace.

2. List down the information Systems that you will work with.

 Human Resource Information System provide:

• Management of all employee information
• Reporting analysis of employee information
• Benefits administration including enrollment, status changes, and personal status 
• Payroll
• Applicant tracking and resume management

1. What kind of Information System has been used?

The companies around the world use a kind of information system that could contribute to the company like improve profit margin. And also placing the customer order and setting the check as well.  A kind of Information has a remote connections to the company. 

2. Why is it applicable/ possible in the process?

Before the company doesn't have information system it is costly for them to travel to the different branches to oversees the sales, cost, personal schedules and etc. so it is hassle to them. But the help of information the managers can oversees through the telecommunication software. By that it contributes increase profit to the company. So it is applicable and very helpful in their process. 

1.Why can we consider DATA clearinghouse to be a virtual company? what do you think is actullay supplied by the firm itself?

ans. Data clearinghouse should consider in a Virtual company, because the data clearinghouse offers Pro/Fee Management Service, which is automates the issuing and processing of bills for the professionals.


2. In what respect does O'Malley rely on the information-technology resources available in our developed society? Why can we conclude that computing and telecommunications are converging into a single resource?

ans. O'Malley rely on the information technology because it is helpful to his business. Information technology is help to the Virtual Company about the transaction of the business. It also contribute in the marketing and sales. And why can we conclude that computing and telecommunications are converging into a single resource. It's because O'Malley computing about the transaction of his business after his computing it will sent the computation  through telecommunications, in someway it is still single resource. In what way can Malley sent the details and sent it without telecommunication network? by that the computing and telecommunication are a single resource.
